NEWBERG, Ore. – The visiting Whitworth women's soccer team held on to beat George Fox 1-0 after a first half goal by Gabriella Coprivnicar in Saturday afternoon's Northwest Conference match at the Austin Sports Complex.

Whitworth (4-11-1, 3-8-1 NWC) shut out George Fox (4-7-3, 2-7-2) in both matches this season. The Pirates won 3-0 in Spokane and 1-0 in Oregon.

The Bucs pulled out the win despite being outshot 21-10 on the match. Isabelle Arends and Kaycie Priske split time in goal for the Pirates, combining for 10 saves. Brooke Jones recorded three saves for the Bruins.
