REDLANDS, Calif. – Sadie Pickering scored four goals and Redlands shut out Whitworth 20-0 in Monday evening's non-conference women's lacrosse contest.

Laura Wells nearly tied her career-high, which she set Friday afternoon against Whittier, with seven saves for the Pirates (0-5, 0-2 NWC). In addition to her four goals, Pickering came away with five draw controls for Redlands (5-4, 0-4 SCIAC).

The Pirates struggled to move the ball upfield against a tough Bulldog defense. Whitworth successfully cleared the ball just 35% (6-17) of the time, a far cry from the 78% the Bucs managed in their previous four games.

On the other end of the field, Redlands took 39 total shots, 27 of which were on goal. The Bulldogs also won 15 of the 21 draw controls.

Trinity Frank took Whitworth's lone shot on goal. She and Jordan Cain also tied for the team lead with two caused turnovers. Five Bucs grabbed two groundballs.

Whitworth returns to action on Wednesday, March 27 when it takes on Whitman at 4 p.m. in the Pine Bowl.
