Sharlene Rinker, a Whitworth University swimming alum, serves as Assistant Swim Coach and Assistant Director for Community Programs at the Whitworth University Aquatic Center. She was a competitive swimmer throughout her youth and is a former Whitworth swimmer. Sharlene graduated in May of 2016 with her B.A. in Kinesiology and is in the process of earning her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. She has extensive knowledge in Philosophical & Psychological Aspects of Coaching, Exercise Physiology, and Principals of Strength & Conditioning. She has five years of experience as a swim instructor and a Special Olympics coach. As Assistant Coach, Sharlene assists the head coach in all aspects of team oversight, including stroke technique, practice planning, and improvement of athletic performance.
